can see these in the changing of the seasons, the balance between light and dark, the coming and going of seasonal plants and foods, the pull of the tides, the rotation of the earth. Our ancestors lived by these natural cycles and used these energies to guide their lives. These energies are also within us. They are our bio-rhythms. And they influence how we move, behave, eat, connect and feel.
The 5elements program is designed to re-connect to these bio-rhythms. The weekly practice of our seasonally relevant 5 rituals will bring us closer to these bio-rhythms and help maintain balance, equilibrium and harmony throughout the body.

Enquire HereThe 5elements program follows the natural preferences of the body to connect to the energies of each season. In eastern traditions the elements of wood, fire, metal, earth and water are associated with the seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each 5 elements ritual follows this seasonal rhythm. Practices change subtly within each season and new programs are embraced as we enter a new season. In this way 5elements creates a guided pathway for you throughout the year.
As with all our rituals, our movement practice will ebb and flow with the seasons. In summer we will move in a more expansive way, opening our heart and lungs to the outside world. In winter our focus will turn inward with strengthening work, focusing on bone, tendon, ligament and muscle strength.
Seasonal rhythms in behaviour can be observed in almost every animal. Humans are no different. Hormones, body temperature, calories consumed can all be linked to seasonality. In eastern traditions, Winter, in contrast to our yang energies of summer, represents are most yin of seasons, a time of quiet reflection and hibernation. The behaviour rituals of 5 elements embrace these fluctuations with purposeful behave change throughout the year.
